Adventure #1 WOTC DCC54 Forges of the Mountain King (Level 1)
And so the third session of play comes to an end- there have been titanic fights, a lot of exploration; and at last the guys are on the trail of the forge- and there are seven of them, as the players keep telling me, again and again- they’re still stoked about this.
Just to say that at the end of this session with the sacking of the temple, and the finding of the seal et al, this is the first time the guys have actually started to get involved with the plot on anything more than just a cursory level. They’re now stoked to be doing and finding things, and next session they hope to use the drill et al to get into the lower level and the forges (they think). That’s not to say that lots of other interesting things have been found along the way, its just that the guys are not up for a complex game- this is their down time, away from WOTC Core scenarios. They want dangerous (killer) titanic encounters, and more opportunities to play up to their stereotypes- they’re Dwarves, no surrender, and nothing is impossible. They kick ass.
For some reason in game I didn’t just allow Berend and Travok to automatically level up with the other PCs- it would have been far easier, but hey-ho.
I know you must be tired of hearing it but this scenario is just lush, so easy to make it so very nasty.
